What’s up with your bladder?
TO PEE – OR NOT TO PEE…That is the question.
This parody of Hamlet’s famous line “To be … or not to be …” was posed by one of the (very talented and multi-skilled) actors who stepped forward to announce the interval, at an open-air performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. There was an immediate rush to the facilities, those with the most urgent need being the fastest to get in the queue.
Most of us can go to the loo and empty our bladders when we want to and at a time of our choosing, even when the bladder has not reached its threshold volume, the latter being the time when the brain urges us to hurry up and empty.
But, for various reasons, sometimes we urinate when we don’t want to – known as incontinence. Independent Living
