We collect personal information about you, whether you are someone using our services, or someone volunteering to work with us. This can include details such as your name, date of birth, email address, postal address or telephone number as well as any further information you provide while we work with you.
We use this information:
- To keep a record of your involvement with us and any actions we take on your behalf
- Where you volunteer for us, to administer your volunteering role.
We will not use this information:
- To contact you about how you can support our work
- To invite you to take part in any surveys we undertake.
If we are working with you to help you find the services you need you may share sensitive personal information with us about your health, ethnic origin, age, sexual orientation or religious belief or details of your life or family. We will only use this information to help deal with your enquiry or to monitor the services we are offering. We will not pass on any of your details to anyone else without your express permission, unless we are concerned about your safety or the safety of someone else.
Any personal information we collect about you will be only seen by the person who is working with you and their manager, unless you have given your permission to share details with a service you have agreed may be able to help you.
You have the right to request access to a copy of the personal information we hold about you, how long we keep it for and how we delete your records. You can make a request for access free of charge. All such requests should be in writing and with evidence of your identity.
You can ask us to change or complete any inaccurate or incomplete information on your record.
We will ask you for your consent to record your information and to store it on our system. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
You can ask us to delete your personal information where it is no longer necessary for us to use it, you have withdrawn consent or where we have no lawful basis for keeping it, and for confirmation that we have done so.
