Symptoms and side effects

Sometimes, Parkinson’s drugs can cause problems that some people confuse with symptoms of Parkinson’s. These problems may actually be side effects of the drugs you are taking. Side effects can include wearing off and dyskinesia, hallucinations or delusions, impulsive and compulsive behaviour¬†or problems sleeping.

It is important you discuss any new symptoms, problems or side effects you experience with your doctor or nurse, who can give you advice on how to manage them.

Our helpline and Parkinson’s local advisers are here to answer any questions you have about symptoms or side effects. Call us on 0808 800 0303. To find out more about the helpline and local advisers¬†Parkinson’s UK
