Christmas Celebration for people living with dementia and their families

Wendover Dementia Action Alliance, WDAA, will host a Christmas Celebration at St Mary’s Church, Church Lane, Wendover, HP22 6NL, starting at 2.30pm on Sunday 10 December, welcoming people living with dementia and their families. This includes people who do not live in Wendover.
This will give young and old the opportunity to reminisce about Christmases past and present and enjoy Christmas stories. Dementia Friends from Wendover CofE Junior School are preparing Memory Boxes to facilitate these memories. Inevitably there will be singing led by Kathy and Pete. This will include well known and easy to sing Christmas songs as well as familiar Carols.
There will be a refreshment break in the middle of the celebration so that all can enjoy a seasonal mince pie or piece of Christmas cake with a hot or cold drink. It’s possible that a special guest might make an appearance towards the end of the celebration.
