Are You Lonely this Christmas?

For some people, Christmas can feel like the loneliest of times.

It can be hard to reach out, especially if you’ve been feeling lonely for a while. But the vast majority of people have experienced loneliness, so many will empathise with what you’re going through.

Why not reach out to your current friends, family and acquaintances this Christmas? Are there people you would like to talk to but have fallen out of contact with, or people who you would like to get to know better?

If the idea of a face-to-face meeting or phone calls feels too daunting, you could send them a letter, Christmas card or email, or find them on a social networking site such as Facebook. If one person rebuffs you, don’t shy away from everyone. If you take every opportunity to reach out, you’re more likely to get a positive response from someone.
